The Life Cycle of Software:-)

 friends,

Here is the  Life Cycle of Software..

1. Programmer produces code he believes is bug-free.

2. Product is tested. 20 bugs are found.

3. Programmer fixes 10 of the bugs and explains to the testing department that the other 10 aren't really bugs.

4. Testing department finds that five of the fixes didn't work and discovers 15 new bugs.

5. Repeat three times steps 3 and 4.

6. Due to marketing pressure and an extremely premature product announcement based on overly-optimistic programming schedule, the product is released.

7. Users find 137 new bugs.

8. Original programmer, having cashed his royalty check, is nowhere to be found.

9. Newly-assembled programming team fixes almost all of the 137 bugs, but introduce 456 new ones.

10. Original programmer sends underpaid testing department a postcard from Fiji. Entire testing department quits.

11. Company is bought in a hostile takeover by competitor using profits from their latest release, which had 783 bugs.

12. New CEO is brought in by board of directors. He hires a programmer to redo program from scratch.

13. Programmer produces code he believes is bug-free.

The testers looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders and then exchanged sandwiches.

When you have an "I hate my job" day try this:-)

Hi,

Do u feel that "Ur Job is not good? R u not satisfied?".. Then Surely u must Read this..

On your way home from work, stop at your pharmacy and go to the thermometer section. You will need to purchase a rectal thermometer made by Johnson and Johnson. Be very sure you get this brand. When you get home, lock your doors, draw the drapes, and disconnect the phone so you will not be disturbed during your therapy. Change to very comfortable clothing, such as a sweat suit and lie down on your bed. Open the package and remove the thermometer.

Carefully place it on the bedside table so that it will not become chipped or broken. Take out the material that comes with the thermometer and read it. You will notice that in small print there is a statement: "Every rectal thermometer made by Johnson and Johnson is personally tested. " Now close your eyes and repeat out loud five times: "I am so glad I do not work for quality control at the Johnson and Johnson Company. "

SIMPLE APTITUDE

Hi friend,

Today we can deal with Numbers concept in Aptitude

Aptitude tests are structured systematic ways of evaluating how people perform on tasks or react to different situations. They have standardised methods of administration and scoring with the results quantified and compared with how others have done at the same tests.

START THE TEST:

1. A two-digit number is such that the product of the digits is 8. When 18 is added to the number, then the digits are reversed. The number is: 2 .

2. A number consists of 3 digits whose sum is 10. The middle digit is equal to the sum of the other two and the number will be increased by 99 if its digits are reversed. The number is: 253

3. In a two-digit, if it is known that its unit's digit exceeds its ten's digit by 2 and that the product of the given number and the sum of its digits is equal to 144, then the number is : 24

4. What is the sum of two consecutive even numbers, the difference of whose squares is 84? : 42

5. The sum of the squares of three numbers is 138, while the sum of their products taken two at a time is 131.Their sum is: 20

Why do people Drink Tea?-Benefits

Hi friends,

Why do people drink Tea in morning or in evening? Wat TEA Brings up? I usually have Tea in Evening time. It will reduce my tension and stress.. Makes me fresh if im tired.. Lets see about teh benefits in it..

A Cup of Hot Tea = A Cup of Good Health

    *
Sipping on a cup of hot tea may be a safeguard against cancer. Population studies have linked the consumption of tea with a reduction in risk for several types of cancer. Researchers speculate that the polyphenols in tea may inhibit certain mechanisms that promote cancer growth. Both green and black teas have been credited with cancer-inhibiting powers.

*Flu: You may be able to boost your fight against the flu with black tea.Your best defense against contracting the flu is to wash your hands often and get vaccinated against the influenza virus. Black tea may further bolster your efforts to stay healthy. In a recent study, people who gargled with a black tea extract solution twice per day showed a higher immunity to flu virus compared to the people who did not gargle with black tea.

Herbal tea is taken mostly for its medicinal benefits. The herbal tea is infusions made herbs. It is a great caffeine free alternative and they are well known for their medicinal and healing properties.

Organic white tea can relieve stress and has greater cancer-fighting ability than any other tea varieties. It also boosts the immunes system, fight infection-causing bacteria and viruses. Green tea has catechins that halt oxidative damage to cells and they have other disease fighting properties. Organic green tea reduces the risk of cancer, stroke, relieve fatigue, lower and prevent high blood pressure.

5 Minutes Management Course.....

Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor.. Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.' After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?' 'It was Bob the next door neighbour,' she replies. 'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'
Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:

A priest offered a Nun a ! lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.. The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest removed his hand But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.'Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily And went on her way.. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.'
Moral of the story:
If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 3:

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.' 'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.' Puff! She's gone. 'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life. Puff! He's gone. 'OK, y ou're up,' the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after Lunch.'
Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.
Lesson 4

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing. A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?' The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.' So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.
Moral of the story:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
Lesson 5

A turkey was chatting with a bull. 'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.' 'Well, why don't you nibble on some of ! my dropp ings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.' The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree..
Moral of the story:
Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there..
Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
Mora ls of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep
your mouth shut!
THUS ENDS THE FIVE MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE

Questions To Ask at a Job Interview:

Hi,

Today im going to give u some tips in job interview. In a job interview, the HR manager or the boss does all the interviewing. Once the interview is done, they usually ask the applicants if they have any questions. If you’re the applicant, do you know what questions to ask at a job interview?

There are some appropriate and inappropriate questions to ask at a job interview.

1) Let’s talk about money.
In most job interviews, the employer usually asks how much you want as base pay. While it is perfectly all right to ask this question, it is also very tricky. The best way to counter such a question is by another question. “What is your offer?” This way, they’ll have no other choice but to give you an estimate.

2) Can I have a vacation leave?
You’re not even hired yet and you’re already asking about the vacation leave. This is not one of the questions to ask at a job interview.Even if you’re itching to know the answer, keep your mouth shut. Asking about leaves at such an early stage might lead your employer to think that you’re not a dedicated employee.

3) Ask about your career path.
It’s always a good idea to ask about the career ladder in the company you’re applying at. This gives your interviewer the impression that you’re here for the long haul and won’t be likely to move from one office to another.
Asking about your career path also gives off the vibe that you’re serious about your craft, and are looking for ways to better yourself.

There are many possible questions to ask at a job interview. The best advice would be to do research about the company you’re applying at and draw your questions from there.

All the Best for ur Career Path!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT DOG FOOD

Hi,

Today im going to share u about the importance of  "DOG FOOD". We love pets. Many of us have dogs in their home. But how to take care of it? How to Protect them and give healthy food to them? Here i give u a short review of it.

People across the globe are striving to improve their health - through exercise and proper nutrition. Every day we make informed decisions about the foods we eat. Companies have recognized this trend and have begun marketing low-fat, low-calorie, or low-carb versions of our favorite foods. But with all of this attention to our own health, we may be forgetting the nutrition of our loyal companion pets.

Sure, pet food companies have created special formulas for overweight, older, or active dogs; but even these blends do not meet the necessary requirements for your pet's health. In fact, studies have shown that your dog's food may cause illnesses such as skin allergies, stomach problems, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

   Best Dog food:

Canidae is a little more expensive than most supermarket and chain pet store brands, but the ingredient lineup is much more impressive. The Chicken, Lamb and Fish All Life Stages variety lists chicken, chicken broth, lamb, chicken liver, herring, brown rice and egg at the top. While not grain-free, no corn, wheat or soy is used, and there are no by-products or fillers. Meats are free of hormones and chemical preservatives.

Canned dog food:

pros
  • Plenty of "human-grade" meat
  • Good carb sources -- brown rice, barley
  • No chemical preservatives
  • No low-value fillers.

Girlz Fashion:New Trend

Hi,

Today let me share with u about Girl's new Fashion  trend!

Fashion is an ever-changing phenomenon that captivates  the entire world. Our aim is to educate and enlighten young  contemporary women in knowing that fashion is not limited to the  rack and shopping no longer means a trip to the mall. Besides, one should never turn to a mannequin for fashion advice.

Trends have a  tendency to create cookie-cutter uniforms instantly transforming a new  look into average. We’re way past the stage of "wanting to fit in" so why not strive to stand out? Tasha’s Closet teaches you how to demand  attention with an undeniable sense of original style.

We guide our consumers how to take cutting edge trends and make them their own . Contradict, change it up, throw in a twist, shock, or excite but  never bore. In this modern world, meek is simply not an option. Don’t get left behind but instead charge ahead leading the masses.

Little Black Dresses suits for Every Body Type..
The easiest way to balance a bottom-heavy figure is to choose a little black dress that skims over the lower half of the body. Fuller skirts, like this Eliza J dress, (Buy Direct) disguise heavy hips, while showing off the waist. A fitted halter or strapless silhouette -- which accents a trim upper body -- is very flattering for bottom-heavy figures.

English.....

Hi friends,

The world consist of more than 600 million people. Each and everyone follow some kind of language to express out themselves. Language is one of the most important thing for each and every human being. We use language to express out ourselves to others. It forms one of essential part in day to day life. The more expressive we are the more we can grow.

Each and every part in this world has some kind of local language. For eg, if you go to Ameriaca, they use english, but if u go to china they use chinees as their language of communication. But if you go to India, there are around 40 or more languages people use in different part of the country.... All these things depends on the place we are.

But the fact is that, english is accepted as a Global language of communication. We have come to a state were everyone learns english apart from their local language or mother tounge. This is because of the fact that a mojority of the population use english to communicate with each other if the person with whom they are talking with doesnt know the local language.

So let us learn english and help others to learn that.....

World's greatest magician .. Funny

Hi,

Let me tel u 1 short and interesting story..

Three world famous magicians were in the bar drinking and boasting about their achievements.

The first one said," During my latest show, I made three women from the audience disappear, it was so convincing that their relatives started panicking, no one could find the trick"

The second one said, “Hey, that is nothing, during one of my open air shows I made the Municipality building disappear and the entire town was searching for it"

The third one sighed and said," Both of you are so local, I went to

Paris and made the Eiffel Tower disappear for a full one hour, it was live on the TV, entire France was searching for the building & no one had a clue".Just then an Indian walked into the bar and the three magicians suddenly turned quiet, gave each other fugitive glances and started to slip towards the door.

A Bartender watching this got curious and asked one of the magicians,

"Hey what happened? Who is that guy? "

One of the magicians whispered, "He is the World's greatest magician,

He has done the biggest disappearing trick of all times, we are all mere amateurs compared with what he has done. His name is Ramalinga Raju(Satyam). He has made USD 1..5 billion disappear from his company's balance sheet in front of everyone's eyes, and the entire world is still looking for it”..

Very Rare Black bears

 Hi,

I have interesting news about very rare "BLACK BEARS"!

Black bears typically have two cubs; rarely, one or three. In 2007, in northern New Hampshire, a black bear Sow gave birth to five healthy young. There were two or three reports of sows with as many as 4 cubs, but five was, and is, very extraordinary. I learned of them shortly after they emerged from their den and set myself a goal of photographing all five cubs with their mom - no matter how much time and effort was involved. I knew the trail they followed on a fairly regular basis, usually shortly before dark. After spending nearly four hours a day, seven days a week, for more than six weeks, I had that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

and photographed them. I used the equivalent of a very fast film speed on my digital camera. The print is properly focused and well exposed, with all six bears posing as if they were in a studio for a family portrait.

I stayed in touch with other people who saw the bears during the summer and into the fall hunting season. All six bears continued to thrive. As time for hibernation approached, I found still more folks who had seen them, and everything remained OK. I stayed away from the bears as I was concerned that they might become habituated to me, or to people in general, and treat them as `approachable friends. This could easily become dangerous for both man and animal..

After Halloween, I received no further reports and could only hope the bears survived until they hibernated.

This spring, just before the snow disappeared, all six bears came out of their den and wandered all over the same familiar territory they trekked in the spring of 2007.

I saw them before mid-April and dreamed nightly of taking another family portrait, a highly improbable second once-in-a-lifetime photograph.

When something as magical as this happens between man and animal, Native Americans say, "We have walked together in the shadow of a rainbow." And so it is with humility and great pleasure that I share these exhilarating photos with you.

Know your True Value!

Hi Friends,

Let me Share a Valuable Story with u today at this time.. U can take it to be a Bed time story also.. But Keep in mind, u remember the Moral of the Story.. Its a valuable story to keep in mind..Never lose your value... this is the Theme of the story.. Read this story.. U wil come thro it..

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a 500 $ note. In the room of 200 Peoples,
He asked, "Who would like this 500 $ note?"
Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this note to one of you but first let me do this."He proceeded to crumple the note up.He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air."Well," he replied, "What if I do this?"

And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty."Now who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air."My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.

No matter what I did to the money. You still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth 500 $/-.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.

But no matter what has happened or what will happen.

Never lose your value.

You are special. Don't ever forget it! Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.

"VALUE HAS A VALUE ONLY IF ITS VALUE IS VALUED"

Scent

Hi friends, today i let me talk about the scents that i like the most. Generally people are very much attracted to good scents. There are many films that say about the importance of the scents or smells from a person. A good scent can attract people towards them like anything.

Our sense of smell affects everything including our food and can bring about forgotten memories. We spend a great deal of time and money creating things that smell good to ourselves and the opposite sex. We use deodorant, aftershave, scented soaps and perfume.

The world of fragrances is made up of perfumes of different strengths - in effect they are essential oils that are diluted with almost up to 78 - 95% denatured ethyl alcohol and the strength of the scent varies with the percentage of the dilution. So you will find that Perfume which is made up of about 22% of essential oils is the most expensive followed by Eau de Parfum. Then comes the Eau de Toilette which has about 8 - 10% of essential oils and lastly you have the Eau de Cologne which has 4% or less of essential oils.

Different types of Scents:

There are four types of perfume, which comprise eau de toilette, eau de parfum and eau de cologne, according to their oil content. Perfumes may also be floral, spicy, woody, herbal, musky, powdery, "aqueous", floral or herbal etc...

So everyone in this world like good scent. I do like scents. In fact my favourite brand of perfume is AQUA DI GIO by Giorgio Armani. The smell is really wonderful and long lasting... that is my favourite perfume. I am using it for the past four years and the smell of it makes me fresh for a long time.

If i use it once i can smell the scent for a long time. That is how i want my perfume to be.

A leader should know how to manage failure

A leader should know how to manage failure

Former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam at Wharton India Economic forum , Philadelphia , March 22,2008

Question: Could you give an example, from your own experience, of how leaders should manage failure?

Kalam: Let me tell you about my experience. In 1973 I became the project director of India 's satellite launch vehicle program, commonly called the SLV-3. Our goal was to put India 's 'Rohini' satellite into orbit by 1980. I was given funds and human resources -- but was told clearly that by 1980 we had to launch the satellite into space. Thousands of people worked together in scientific and technical teams towards that goal. By 1979 -- I think the month was August -- we thought we were ready. As the
project director, I went to the control center for the launch. At four minutes before the satellite launch, the computer began to go through the checklist of items that needed to be checked. One minute later, the
computer program put the launch on hold; the display showed that some control components were not in order. My experts -- I had four or five of them with me -- told me not to worry; they had done their calculations and there was enough reserve fuel. So I bypassed the computer, switched to manual mode, and launched the rocket. In the first stage, everything worked fine. In the second stage, a problem developed. Instead of the satellite going into orbit, the whole rocket system plunged into the Bay of Bengal . It was a big failure.

That day, the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization, Prof. Satish D hawan, had called a press conference. The launch was at 7:00 am , and the press conference -- where journalists from around the world were present -- was at 7:45 am at ISRO's satellite launch range in Sriharikota [in Andhra Pradesh in southern India ]. Prof. Dhawan, the leader of the organization, conducted the press conference himself. He took responsibility for the failure -- he said that the team had worked very hard, but that it needed more technological support. He assured the media that in another year, the team would definitely succeed..

Now, I was the project director, and it was my failure, but instead, he took responsibility for the failure as chairman of the organization. The next year, in July 1980, we tried again to launch the satellite -- and this time we succeeded. The whole nation was jubilant. Again, there was a press conference. Prof. Dhawan called me aside and told me, 'You conduct the press conference today.'

I learned a very important lesson that day. When failure occurred, the leader of the organization owned that failure. When success came, he gave it to his team. The best management lesson I have learned did not come to me from reading a book; it came from that experience.

India Vs. Australia - 5th ODI

It was yest night(06-11-2009) when i was watching the tv for relaxation, i came through the 5th ODI between India and Australia. It was a very very close encounter between the two countries. Australia who batted first was able to score about 350 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.

Then India started to bat. This match is really a very very important match for Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. He reached his 17,000 runs mark in yest match. Apart from that he also scored 175 runs. The match was going on fine till the 44th over, after which the Indian batsman started to fall very soon. In just 6 overs, India lost 6 wickets.

Finally australia won the match in just 5 runs. Anyways it was an entertaining match.

A post after a long long time...
